IDEAs (Islay Disabled Endeavours and Action) is a small organisation offering support, advocacy, recreational, educational and social opportunities to disabled people living in Islay.

Our membership includes adults with physical disabilities, learning difficulties and people with mental health problems.

IDEAs is based at the Resource Centre on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays where members can attend on a drop-in basis. The Centre is connected to a beautiful community garden which is run by the members and open to the public. We are also involved in many community activities and provide outreach support. We run an older person's lunch club (Taigh-na-Greine) on Mondays and Fridays and our latest venture is an accessible Island-wide community transport scheme.
