About Us

Day to day in the centre, we offer a huge variety of arts and crafts which include a wide range of art materials (oils, watercolour, pastels, glass paints etc), crafts projects such as decoupage, marbling, hand-made cards, candle making, stool weaving, and various needlework activities including, embroidery, sewing, soft toy making and patchwork. The end products are sold by our Members at our regular fund raising events.

We also have volunteer trainers who visit the Centre for group activities such as basketry or cookery etc and we run our own training courses such as assertiveness training. We also have a bank of computers on which our members can learn computer skills such as word processing, printing and scanning, digital photography and graphic design and also use the Internet free of charge.

The members can work on any activity they choose either independently, with a friend or in groups. We are very flexible and we try to accommodate any activities the members suggest. We also take every opportunity to celebrate as friends - birthdays, easter, Christmas, Halloween, any excuse for a party!
