Dunlossit Loch Picnic Site and Wheelie Boat

Accessible Boat for hire!

IDEAs have our very own picnic site by the beautiful Dunlossit Loch. The site is great for summer barbeques and picnics and is situated just off the road in a beautiful spot overlooking the loch.

And for those who would like to try their hand at a spot of fishing, IDEA obtained our Wheelie Boat, a small fishing boat designed to be accessible to both able-bodied people and wheelchair users, in 2002.

The boat was launched from the jetty next to our picnic site. The jetty and picnic site was built with the help from our friends from HMS Vanguard who have helped us with various projects over the years.

The Wheelie Boat is used in the summer months by our own members but is also available to hire by tourists and visitors to the Island through the Dunlossit Estate offices:
