Use It Again ShopHappy Anniversary Use It Again! IDEAs opened their ‘Use It Again’ shop in the Royal Arch Buildings, Bowmore in May 2002. Since then we have had a steady stream of custom from local people and tourists alike. ‘Use It Again’, which specialises in recycling second hand clothes, books and bric-a- brac, has been a valuable source of income for the IDEAs Resource Centre, helping to fund many projects in the Centre and the community, and provides work experience for the centre members. None of this would be possible without the generosity of the Islay people in terms of donations of items as well their regular custom. The running of the shop itself relies almost entirely on the bank of volunteers whose dedication and hard-work ensures the smooth running of this great project. The shop was officially opened by James McEwan of Bruichladdich distillery, and his wife Barbara. James has been a great supporter of IDEAs over the years and supported the setting up of a Supported Employment project for IDEA members in the bottling hall at the Distillery. With new stock coming in daily, customers at Use It Again are guaranteed a range of items at bargain prices, so come and have a browse! Opening Times are as follows: Tuesday, Friday and Saturday- 10.30am - 3.30pm Donations of items for the shop are always welcome either at the shop or at the Resource Centre during opening hours (No large items of furniture or electrical goods thanks) .
